What makes MiraFolio for Android different? Connecting your home screen, lock screen and automation

Android lets a wallpaper app integrate more deeply with the system. MiraFolio brings direct setting, scheduled rotation, quick actions and controllable photo sources into one workflow.

MiraFolio for Android current wallpaper screen with home and lock screen actions

On Android, a wallpaper app can do more than choose the next photo. The platform supports direct wallpaper setting, persistent background work, home-screen shortcuts and Quick Settings tiles. MiraFolio is designed around those capabilities: choose a source and rotation rules inside the app, then apply the result to the home screen, lock screen or both while keeping the photo workflow understandable and reversible.

Preview first, then set the home screen, lock screen or both

MiraFolio separates preview and crop confirmation from the final system action. You decide whether an image updates the home screen, the lock screen or both, without repeating the selection in another picker.

  • View the complete image and its current source in the app.
  • Target the home screen, lock screen or both.
  • Keep the existing wallpaper when an apply operation fails instead of reporting a partial result as success.

One no-repeat queue across albums and private sources

Sources can include device albums, photos granted through Android’s Photo Picker, and MiraFolio folders, tags or private sources. No-repeat shuffle completes the eligible set before reshuffling; sequential mode is available when order matters.

  • Filter for all, landscape or portrait images to reduce awkward crops.
  • Track recent images to avoid seeing the same photo again too soon.
  • Archive a poor fit when it appears, then restore or delete it later.

Schedule rotation with Android’s persistent background work

Intervals include 15 or 30 minutes and 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours. MiraFolio uses Android’s persistent-work mechanism so the next change can remain scheduled when the app leaves the foreground.

Change once—or let Tasker and MacroDroid choose the moment

A home-screen shortcut or Quick Settings tile changes the wallpaper immediately. For richer contexts, Tasker or MacroDroid can invoke MiraFolio actions to change the wallpaper, switch to a named source, or archive the current image and continue.

  • MiraFolio does not need to continuously monitor location, Bluetooth or WiFi.
  • Your automation app evaluates conditions such as arriving at work or joining a network.
  • Explicit wallpaper actions work without an accessibility service that simulates taps.

A device-local private album protected by biometrics

Photos you do not want in the system gallery can be imported into MiraFolio’s private album and unlocked with biometrics or the device credential. Imports are validated and written locally with rollback protection; private data is excluded from Android Auto Backup and device transfer. Optional AI tags run only when you configure a compatible service and request analysis, with the API key protected by Android Keystore.

Private sources stay separate from the system gallery and can require biometrics or the device credential.

Transfer from a computer through a browser on the same network

WiFi Transfer temporarily serves a local upload page. Open it in a computer browser to import photos to the chosen destination, then stop the service when finished. It is a direct local-network path and does not require a cloud-drive upload first.

Core rotation is free; Pro unlocks advanced library workflows

MiraFolio is free to download. Preview, manual setting, core rotation and archiving are available to start with. Private-album imports, WiFi Transfer and advanced organization are part of Pro, offered monthly, yearly or as a lifetime purchase.

Start with one set of photos

MiraFolio supports Android 8.0 and later and is available on Google Play. You do not need to grant the entire library on day one—start with an album or a small Photo Picker selection.

  • Install from Google Play and choose your first source.
  • Select shuffle or sequential rotation and an orientation filter.
  • Preview an image, then set the home screen, lock screen or both.
  • Add scheduling, a Quick Settings tile or external automation only when useful.

Highlights: Android

Preview first, then apply to the home screen, lock screen or both — manually, on a schedule or from the Android tools you already use.

  • Home, lock screen or both: Preview a photo separately, then apply it directly to the destination you choose through Android WallpaperManager.
  • Periodic rotation that survives restarts: Set intervals from 15 minutes to 24 hours. Android schedules background work with realistic system timing instead of false exact-time promises.
  • Shortcuts and a Quick Settings tile: Apply the next wallpaper without opening the full app, or connect Tasker and MacroDroid through documented broadcast actions.
  • Albums, selected photos and private folders: Use MediaStore albums, Android Photo Picker selections, private folders or tag combinations as distinct rotation sources.
  • Protected local Private Album: Import, organize, export and share private files behind biometric or device-credential authentication. Android Auto Backup is disabled for private data.
  • Wi-Fi transfer and optional AI tags: Receive batches from a computer on the local network, or connect your own compatible AI endpoint for single or batch tagging.

Frequently asked questions

Can Android apply wallpapers directly?
Yes. MiraFolio can apply the current photo to the home screen, lock screen or both through Android system wallpaper APIs.
Will rotation happen at an exact minute?
Android schedules periodic background work around the selected interval. Battery optimization and manufacturer background policies may introduce delays, so MiraFolio does not promise exact-to-the-minute execution.
Which Android versions are supported?
MiraFolio supports Android 8.0 (API 26) and later, including Android 14 selected-photo access.
Where is the download link?
Download MiraFolio for Android from Google Play. It supports devices running Android 8.0 or later.
